Connect HiBob

Connect Bob to Harriet to work with employee information, holidays, documents and employee analytics.

What you need

Connect your company

  1. Open Harriet setup. Select Install on Harriet's Bob Marketplace listing, or select HiBob in Harriet's integrations. Both routes open the same Harriet setup page.
  2. Choose your Harriet connection. Sign in to Harriet if needed. Check the company name on the page. If you have connected Bob before, choose the connection you want to reconnect.
  3. Approve access in Bob. Select Continue to HiBob. In Bob, approve the permissions and choose whose data Harriet can access. Select All company for complete company analytics. A smaller selection limits employee results and reports.
  4. Finish setup in Harriet. If you are asked to sign in again, use the same Harriet account to finish connecting without repeating approval in Bob. Review the connection settings. Configure time-off policies and employee field mappings. Enable employee sync if you want Harriet's employee directory populated from Bob, then save the settings and use the people sync action.

What Harriet can access with OAuth

The standard connection reads employee fields, pay data and history, holiday balances and policies, and employee documents. It also supports employee updates, leave requests and document uploads. Bob asks your administrator to approve these permissions. Harriet's user permissions still control which people can view or change the data.

Employee analytics uses data available to Harriet. Historical analysis needs the relevant history fields mapped and synced. A restricted Bob audience produces a restricted data set; it is not a complete company report.

Reconnect or change OAuth access

To change approved permissions or the selected employees, uninstall Harriet in Bob, then install it again and select the existing Harriet connection. Its field mappings and policy settings are kept. Use the same Bob company when reconnecting.

Disconnecting in Harriet stops Harriet using the connection. To revoke the grant itself, uninstall Harriet in Bob Marketplace. Bob does not send an immediate uninstall notification; Harriet detects revoked access when it next refreshes the connection.

Troubleshooting

Reconnecting replaces the credentials on the selected connection and keeps its field mappings and policy settings.
